Long O unit is finally done! And the countdown begins!!

I finally finished the Long O unit....it turned into a Mini Unit because I am just DRAINED!  But, alas, here it is!  It includes  an original poem by ME, sorting mats for o, ow, oa, and o_e words, a word list, "Slam" game, and "I have Who has?" game.  Check it out!!  Only $3.50!

Our Spring break was the week of Easter and I took surprised my son with a trip to Disney World!   I kept it a secret until we arrived at the Disney World Welcoming Arch!!!

{not an easy task while riding in a car for 13 hours with a 7 year old...imagine: Where are we going?  Are we there yet? Where ARE we?  for 13 hours!!}

He had been BEGGING me to take him but we just couldn't afford it.  God just worked some things out and we were able to make last minute reservations and head down to Orlando!
  {by last minute I mean I called on Friday and we left the next week!   SO thankful they had a room for us!!}
 We had a BLAST!  I cried, he cried, we laughed, we had so much fun!!!  It was truly a blessing that we were able to go!

And now the countdown is ON!!!  28 more days!  That's right...28!!!!  and 2 of those are field trips, 3 of those I am out for DIBELS testing, 3 are half days, 1 is the Spring Concert day, 1 is Field Day, and the rest will be C-RA-ZEEEE!!!

Have a great week!!

A new unit!

I have been off the past 2 days for Mardi Gras!  And I had so much fun creating my Leap Day unit, that I made another one!  This one is for the month of April.  It has some Easter-ish fun, Earth Day, math, Science, and phonics included!
I don't know how to make those pretty pictures with all the pages included so here is my link to my TpT store!

April Showers Bring May Flowers!

And since I only have 12 followers...could be because I haven't been posting or promoting my blog, I'll give away this unit to the first 3 people who make a comment AND promise to give me feedback on the unit!  (and maybe help me promote it by linking it to your own blog...maybe???!!!)

Don't forget to put your email in the comment section!
Thank you so much!!

Leap Day mini unit

I haven't been a good blogger this year..or last year!
 A lot has been going on in my personal life.  I had to take off work for a bit to care for my mother.  While I was "off", I wasn't getting paid  :(
In order to make a little extra money, I decided to create a unit for TpT!  This one is on Leap Day!  There is not too much out there for Leap Day, so I created an original poem, a writing activity, and a few math sheets for the kiddo's to do that day!  {I hope I can link it up the correct way...if not, PLEASE go to my TpT store and check it out!}

Graphing with Cheez-Its!

We are studying graphs this week and I thought about graphing food, cause, well, face it...I like food!  And it's a good motivator for kids!  So I thought about colored cereal, colored macaroni, jello,  even oreo's!   Then I saw this box:

I thought:  I could graph the vowels and the consonants!  They need a little help with that anyway, so it's a Win/Win!!!

And that's what we did today!

I gave each student a sheet of paper, and a handful of crackers.

They had to start out by sorting them into vowels and consonants.

I even showed them on the ELMO

Then, they could graph them and EAT them!!

I added this graph to my

(it's FREE!!!)

Happy graphing!
